AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - What do Duck Dynasty and Alabama high school football have in common? As it turns out, a lot!
Fourteen of Alabama's best high school football programs are in Auburn for the Super 7 Championship inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. Forty-thousand fans are expected to spend as much as $4 million on food, hotels and entertainment.
The games are also attracting celebrities. Sadie Robertson of Duck Dynasty and Dancing with the Stars fame was in the stands, cheering on her Madison Academy boyfriend who quarterbacked the Class 3A's championship game.
Robertson spoke about applying her Christian faith to her dating life.
"I just had a book come out and it has all the rules that I apply to my relationship in it and it is just basics, don't put yourself in a situation that would be uncomfortable for you to have to say no to and I think it depends on the guy that you have, I am lucky to have a great guy, so if you need any advice, just read my book," Robertson said.
Robertson also posed for pictures with fans while cheering on her boyfriend against Dale County.
Super 7 Championship Games continue Friday, Dec. 5. News Leader 9's Annie Hubbell will have more on the celebration in Auburn and more of our interview with Sadie Robertson tonight on the News at 11.
