COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The NAACP hosted its quarterly Criminal Justice Reform meeting on Friday Jan. 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Government Center located at 100 10th St.
The objective of this meeting was to bring positive change in the pursuit of justice and equality for all. The meeting was with elected and appointed city officials.
Judge McBride and the NAACP hosted the meeting in hopes to reduce the amount of jail time, number of persons incarcerated and to shorten the time awaiting trial.
The meeting included presentations from the District Attorney's and public Defender's Offices referencing Rocket Docket.
