COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – If you are slacking off on that New Year's Resolution of eating healthier, we have some tips for you to give your diet a boost.
First, make sure you check expiration dates. If food is expired throw it out.
Second, when at the grocery store choose leaner cuts of meat and fish—consider can tuna or salmon.
Also, eat fruits and vegetables that are in season to give your plate some color.
Then, Drink make sure you drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated. It is recommended that you drink eight 8-ounce glass of water a day.
Last, try and grill as much food as possible. This is much healthier than frying that chicken or pork chops.
