2 groups hit home run with mini-baseball camp

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Two local organizations are looking to make an impact early in the sport of baseball.

Launch Pad Athletes teamed up with the nonprofit More Than A Game to host a free instructional youth clinic on Sunday.

More than 75 kids from ages 6 to 18 had the chance to get coached up on their hitting, fielding, speed and agility training. More Than A Game said Launch Pad was the perfect partnership to continue sharing that very message locally.

Launch Pad and More Than A Game plan to host another event for the youth this summer.
