(WTVM) - At 173 pounds, there's no question how a dog named "The Hulk" got his moniker.
Hulk is a 17-month-old pit bull bred and raised by
in Carroll, New Hampshire.
Some are calling him the biggest of his breed in the world – his head measures 27 inches around and he's the same size as a miniature horse.
He's also become an Internet sensation – the YouTube video of him sitting on a scale and receiving a treat from one of his owners has been viewed more than 3 million times.
Dark Dynasty K9s specializes in security dogs, personal protection, obedience training, and behavioral issues, and owner Marlon Grennan said he strategically breeds his dogs for size.
According to their
, the company aims to bring awareness, respect and appreciation to pit bulls. They also state they are dedicated to promoting healthy, responsible relationships with dogs and to bringing out their best qualities.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Grennan said he is very careful about who he sells his pit bulls to, and his contracts with the people who buy his dogs stipulate that he can check in on the dog and its environment every three months. He also said he takes in rescue dogs and is working on starting his own pit bull rescue program.
