AU police investigate suspicious message on bathroom wall

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - On Friday, Feb. 20 at approximately 11 a.m., Auburn Police responded to a building in the 300 block of Thach Avenue on the campus of Auburn University in reference to a report of a suspicious message that was written on a restroom wall.

The incident is currently being investigated by Auburn Police. Although the message did not relay any direct or specify threat, the Police Division is looking into the matter. A Public Safety Advisory of the incident was issued by Auburn University.

At this time, officials have not revealed what the message said.

The posting of any message in a public place that disrupts school and causes public alarm is a felony offense.  The Police Division with the assistance of the FBI is actively looking into the matter.
