COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Faces of Columbus is a new public artwork display located in the 1200 block of Uptown.
Students, faculty, and alumni from Columbus State University's Department of Art put the display up over the weekend.
They say it captures a positive message of the community through photography.
We spoke to CSU student and artist Julianna Wells, who came up with the idea.
"I wanted to do something for the community and I wanted to do it with photography," Wells said. "I wanted where the students would collaborate. Because we do not collaborate enough, hopefully that will happen down the line."
They said they look forward to expanding the project in other places. Wells says you can use the hashtag #FacesofColumbus to have your image featured on the artwork.
