COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The fountain at Heritage Park is currently under repair as the filtration system in the fountain is not working, causing the water to not circulate properly.
Columbus Parks and Recreation is aware of this problem, and they are working to obtain a quote to fix the fountain as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the Parks and Recreation Department's Aquatics Division will immediately begin draining the fountain and to clean it. The water will be treated manually until the filtration system is repaired.
Heritage Park, located at 700 Front Avenue in the Historic District, is known for its sculptures, covered pavilion, historical information markers and more. The city continues to work to make sure all visitors and citizens can enjoy their time at Heritage Park.
