PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - A new organization helping troubled teens in Russell County now has a place to call home.
We Have a Purpose held its ribbon cutting on Saturday to re-introduce the agency to the community and its new location on 12th Street.
The organization provides intervention services for juveniles headed down the wrong road. The primary focus is to keep teens who commit minor offenses from having a criminal record and making them accountable for their actions.
"If we have juveniles that does not have a criminal record, then they're going to become more productive citizens. And also it's bringing that village back that's missing showing the kids that someone actually cares," program director and CEO Tiesha Williams said.
Services include case management, counseling, basic living skills, anger management, and parenting classes.
