Montgomery man arrested in Auburn on burglary charges

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - On Monday, Aug. 17 the Auburn Police Division arrested 19-year-old Michael R. Trimble from Montgomery, Ala.

The arrest was the result of officers responding to a report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of East Veterans Boulevard earlier that day. A description of the suspect vehicle was provided to officers who located the vehicle shortly after.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of property reported stolen on August 11 from a residence located in the 800 block of West Longleaf Drive.

Property from an additional burglary that occurred between August 11 and August 12 at a residence located in the 700 Block of Ethan Lane was also recovered from the suspect vehicle along with burglary tools.

A total of approximately $1,400 in property was recovered.

Trimble was arrested on felony warrants for the offenses of third degree burglary and second degree theft of property.

On Tuesday August 18, Trimble was additionally charged with possession of burglary tools, third degree theft of property and third degree receiving stolen property.

Trimble was transported to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $14,000 bond.
