PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The community is coming together Wednesday night to remember a teen girl gunned down in Phenix City.

A vigil will be held at 8 p.m. for 19-year-old Mariah Farrow, who was shot Sunday night on 16th Street.

On Wednesday morning, we got exclusive video of 18-year-old Demetrius Dorsey heading into Russell County Court.

Dorsey, who is the ex-boyfriend of Farrow, appeared for his 72 hour hearing where the charges were read, a plea was entered and a date for a preliminary hearing was set.

The state says they are pursuing a capitol murder charge and asked the judge to deny bond. Judge Walter Grey entered a not guilty plea for Dorsey.

Farrow, who turned 19 two weeks ago, was shot multiple times Sunday night and died shortly afterwards at Midtown Medical Center.
