COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus man was shot during an attempted home invasion in the early morning hours on Monday.
According to a Columbus Police Department incident report, a 33-year-old male was shot in the right side of his neck and sustained a cut to his left butt cheek during the incident.
The home invasion occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on Monday at an apartment on the 1810 block of Riverland Drive. He was taken to the Midtown Medical Center, and is currently in satisfactory condition.
The incident report gives a vague description of the two suspects; they are described as two black males of average height and build.
Nothing was stolen from the home during the crime. CPD are investigating the incident.
