Auburn business shows 'We Care'

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - For 10 years, people across the country have celebrated "We Care Day" – which happened on Friday – and now, an Auburn business is jumping on board to help the community.

Ground Guys of Auburn spent the day sprucing up the outside of the Big House Foundation for free.

That organization, Big House, provides resources to improve the quality of life for more than 10,000 foster children across the state of Alabama, but they were on the receiving end of the giving this time around.

Ground Guys also donated $500 to assist the foundation with its goals.

"Being able to see a small change in their landscape it freshens up everyone and gives them a good attitude and allows them to go on and conquer the world and do what they have been doing," Ground Guys of Auburn owner Candy Long said.

If you're interested in donating money or items to the Big House Foundation or would like to volunteer for next year's "We Care Day" – already scheduled for Nov. 6, 2016 - you can call (334) 750-3424.
