BUTLER, GA (WTVM) - A small business owner is Taylor County is gearing up to say "thanks" to any veteran who wants to stop by his shop.
Employees at the Backstraps and Burgers Deer Processing Store in Butler say they want to give back to those who give so much for our country.
They will be offering a free lunch Wednesday to anyone in the area, or any meat-loving vets who want to swing by.
The menu includes hot dogs, venison, mild and hot sausage links and, soft drinks.
Veterans Day is a day the shop's owner says is dear to his heart.
"My father served in the Korean War and he's no longer here, a lot of folks never got to come home from the recent wars, so we want them to know that we at least appreciate them and are thankful for the job they're doing," said Stephen Powell.
The store is located off West Fall Line Freeway just a few miles from Butler's Main Street.
