Auburn University beats Bama in food drive

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The Iron Bowl is still a week away, but Auburn fans are already celebrating a victory over Alabama.

On Friday, Nov. 20 the Beat Bama Food Drive announced the winner of the annual food collection competition between the two rival schools.

Auburn University raised 211,625 pounds of food, and the University of Alabama raised 116,370 pounds.

Since 1994, the Beat Bama Food has united students, faculty, staff and the Auburn community to help fight hunger and poverty.
