Meriwether County sheriff searching for murder suspects

MERIWETHER COUNTY, GA (WTVM) – The Meriwether County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in identifying two people of interest regarding a murder investigation.

The incident occurred on Dec. 19, 2015 in the 100 block of Allie Road in Greenville, GA when John Lamey, 45, died from an apparent gunshot wound. As a result of the investigation, Xavier Slaton, 19, and Kanorris Martin, 21, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault and murder, and now officials are searching for additional suspects.

One of the suspects wanted in this investigation is described as a black male, dark complexion, mid to late 20's, around 5'6," stocky build, short cut hair and a some facial hair will goatee. He was also seen with a diamond stud earring in the left ear and possibly right ear.

The second suspect is described as a black male, medium complexion, mid to late 20;s, around 6'0," slender build, medium to long dreads, thin facial hair with a mustache and a goatee.
