COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Mary Brown of Columbus turned 105 years young on Friday, Feb. 12.

She celebrated with friends at the Savannah Grand of Columbus, and was presented with a flowers, a cake, and a card.

One of her friends, who is 103, was in attendance as well.

The program coordinator at the center says she is the most active 105-year-old she has ever met.

"I love you, thank you, and I think that this is the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me since I've received the baptism of God in the Holy Spirit," Brown said.

Brown holds what she calls a devotion with the community two times a week and walks the facility daily.

She says reading the Bible and being close to God is her secret to living a long life.
