COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - On Friday, a generous donation was made to a local law enforcement agency.

Deputies with the Muscogee County Sheriff's Office will now be able to store all their crucial tactical gear in an easy to access bag.

Twenty-seven quick response tactical bags were provided by Gene Lively, who is a partner with Shooter's Valhalla.

The bag straps across the chest of the officer, where it will allow officers to respond to an active threat or active shooter in a more effective and timely manner.

"An opportunity for our men and women in our field services division to be better prepared to sponsor these kinds of situations whether it be extra magazines in that bag, any kind of medical gear that would be placed in that bag and it's just a way to effectively and quickly respond to any kind of situation such as an active shooter," said Muscogee County Sheriff John Darr.

Sheriff Darr says officers will now have a place to store anything they need when arriving to a scene.

The new bags are quicker, more effective, and more efficient.
