COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Muscogee County School District will host its 6th annual Transition-Resource Fair to assist students with disabilities or students with a 504 Plan.
This event will take place at Columbus State University on March 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 P.M. at the Student Recreation Center, located at 4225 University Avenue.
The free event will offer parents of students in 6th through 12th grade access to agencies providing services, which can be used now or when students transition into post high school employment or training.
Thanks to partnerships with Fort Benning Exceptional Family Member Program, Goodwill, Vocational Rehabilitation, Disabilities Service Center, Columbus
State University, Chattahoochee-Flint Transition Alliance, Autism HOPE Center and
High School/High Tec Program, parents and educators who attend the Transition-Resource Fair are offered a variety of services and encouragement to help students
improve quality of life.
Three former MCSD students with disabilities plan to share their personal journey about leaving high school, entering college, and work experience.
