RUSSELL COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - A federal jury convicted 46-year-old Antonio Darset King, Sr. of Phenix City, AL on federal gun and drug charges on Wednesday.

Antonio King and three others were initially charged in the death of 35-year-old Timothy Turman.

It happened on Dillingham Street in Phenix City back in February 2011.

Phenix City officer Daniel Davis was an intricate part of that case. However, he accidentally shot and killed himself while off duty. This caused the district attorney to drop the murder charge against King.

"Antonio King is one of Russell County's most dangerous criminals ever," stated Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor.

King remains in prison for his involvement in the 2014 shooting death of his nephew.

He faces 15 years to life for the new convictions. A sentencing hearing has not been scheduled yet.
