‘Real World’ holding auditions in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WTVM) - Seven strangers picked to live in a house, and one of them could be from Alabama.

MTV's reality series "Real World" is now searching for the next seven cast members for the show's upcoming 32nd season, and next month they'll be stopping by Tuscaloosa.

The casting call takes place on Wednesday, April 6 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in rooms 3107 and 3108 of the Ferguson Center, located at 751 Campus Drive on the University of Alabama campus.

You are asked to bring a recent picture of themselves (which will not be returned) and photo identification. Applicants must be 21 years or older by June 2016, and appear to be between 20 and 24 years old.

The show, which was first broadcast in 1992, is the longest-running program in MTV history and is one of the longest-running reality series on television.

To date, only one Alabama native has appeared on the show. Julie Gentry, a native of Birmingham, AL was one of the original seven cast members when the show debuted in 1992.
