OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) - The Opelika Police Department is investigating after a man was shot over the weekend.
On Friday, April 1 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Opelika police responded to calls of shots fired in the 300 block of 16th Street.
Upon arrival they discovered a 21-year-old male had been shot during an argument. The victim was taken to the hospital in a personal car, which had also been shot into.
Officers found the man at the emergency room of East Alabama Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds and released.
Officials state the victim knew the suspects, and say that charges are pending.
