Haven Salon Hair raises money to support Animal Ark in Columbus
. - COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Sunday afternoon the people at Haven Salon continued with their daily routine of cutting hair for all of their customers, the only difference was the proceeds of these cuts weren't going to the owner.
Elizabeth Bonifas, the owner of Haven Salon and of four dogs, loves animals and wanted to help Animal Ark.
"They have a great need for funds. They don't have some of the funding that other places do. I found out they were a no kill shelter and I have four dogs of my own and I love animals and I thought what can I do," said Bonifas.
Haven has done Cut a Thons before to help out others in the Chattahoochee Valley. A few years back when Cascade Hills Baptist Church was looking to build their out door baptismal, Haven raised over 500 dollars to help the costs.
Animal Ark works hard to save the lives of all animals in the Valley. With Sunday's Cut a Thon, Haven was looking to lend a helping hand to their good friends at Animal Ark. If you are interested in adopting an animal click here.
