Glenwood Gators set eyes on another state title

SMITHS STATION, AL (WTVM) - The Glenwood Gators are on their way to the AISA Championship game.

The team will practice Monday and Tuesday in preparation for Wednesday's double header against Autauga in Montgomery.

The Gators are going for their 6th title in the last 10 years.

Although some of the older guys have been here before, there are still some nerves for these kids. It is a championship series after all.

Seniors Tyler Cadenhead and Carson Hicks were both on the team that won the last state title in 2014. They were both sophomores, and now have a bigger role and want to make it count.
"This time around it's my last time playing high school ball," Cadenhead said. "I want to go out with a bang. i want them to remember 20-16. I want them to remember who us seniors are because hopefully we'll have another ball on that wall."
"You never know what could happen, but we've got to stay focused," Hicks said. "Nothing's guaranteed, we've just got to go out there and handle business."
First pitch in game one of the double header set for Wednesday at 11 a.m. EST.
