COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus man accused of killing his fiancé has been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
Vashon Walker, 25, shot and killed Jessica Osborne in June of 2014, according to police.
Officials say Columbus police were called out to a home on Forrest Road on the corner of Reese Road, on what they thought was a home invasion.
When police arrived, they found Osborne, who authorities say had been shot in the head. They also found a .45 caliber pistol in the backyard.
Officials say her fiancé, Walker, was sitting on the front porch covered in blood when Columbus police arrived at the scene.
He also has an extensive history of crime including family violence, kidnapping and violence towards other women.
Walker was sentenced to life without parole on Tuesday.
