Man Shot During A Columbus Home Invasion

For the second time in less than a week another home invasion ends with a person shot multiple times in Columbus.

This time, police are investigating an incident at a home on St. Mary's Road.

Several shots were fired during the home invasion and robbery leaving the victim in serious condition.

Columbus police say the suspects entered the home with handguns demanding money, and then firing shots at Irvin Sampson, hitting him twice in the leg and twice in the arm.

News Leader Nine spoke with the victim's father, Henry Stephens Monday afternoon after he got the news that his son was shot.

"Why would someone come by that time of morning and endanger other people and shoot him like that. I don't understand that. He goes to work every day. They were having a little fun and all of a sudden a shootout breaks out, Stephens told News Leader Nine."
According to police reports there were four other people inside the home at the time of the home invasion.
We have a description of the suspected gunmen on our website under the local tab.
