CUSSETA, AL (WTVM) – A woman employed at an automotive parts manufacturer has passed away following a devastating accident on Saturday, according to the Chambers County Sheriff's Office.

The 20-year-old woman, who has been identified as Regina Elsea by the Chambers County Coroner's Office, was critically-injured while at work.

The incident happened at Ajin USA, located at 1500 County Road 177 in Cusseta, AL, around 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18. The Chambers County Sheriff's Office, along with first responders, responded to the scene, and said Elsea was taken to East Alabama Medical Center, then to UAB hospital.

Elsea passed away Sunday morning from the injuries sustained from the accident, which is under investigation.

Law enforcement did not elaborate on how the woman was injured.

Ajin USA is a subsidiary of Wooshin Industrial Co. LTD, headquartered in South Korea. Production began at the Cusseta, AL site in February 2011 after launching in February 2008.
