Paws Humane hosts first ever Bark and Blues Festival

Paws Humane hosts first ever Bark and Blues Festival

Sunday, June 26 marks the first ever Barks and Blues Festival at Paws Humane and they have all kinds of great adoption specials.

"It is name your own price for all adults and cats over six months old," said Casey Smith the marketing director for Paws Humane. "Literally you name your own price, whatever you are comfortable with, I know that is dangerous but whatever you are comfortable with. Puppies are regular price at $125 and kittens are $75. They come fully vaccinated, spayed and neutered, and micro chipped."

Along with great adoption specials, Paws is bringing in vendors from all over the Fountain City to make the Bark and Blues Festival fun for people that may not be looking to adopt an animal.

"We are going to have 25 different vendors here, a lot of the different vendors you would see down at Market Days," Smith said. "We've got food vendors, we have Planet Pops here, we have got Neil Lucas playing blues music. I mean we just have so much going on."

Outside of adopting out as many of their 60 dogs and 60 cats, the other goal for the event is to simply gain some more exposure.

"This is an open house awareness event," Smith said. "We just want to show people where we are and we want Paws Humane to be their first thought when they go to adopt a pet or vet services we just want to be their first thought."

The Barks and Blues Festival will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Paws Humane, located at 4900 Milgen Road.

Paws Human also hosts various adoption events throughout the year.  For more on their future adoption specials click here.
