Troup Co. deputies seize around $1.8M in cocaine drugs during traffic stop

TROUP COUNTY, GA (WTVM) – Deputies with the Troup County Sheriff's Office assisted the Georgia State patrol on a traffic stop on I-85 around 10 p.m. on Thursday.
A search of the vehicle, a tractor trailer, revealed approximately 40 kilos of cocaine, which is around $1.8 million in street value. Both the Driver and passenger, Roberto Bazan and Luis Moreno were taken to the Troup County Jail.
Both of them will be charged by the Georgia State Patrol with trafficking in cocaine and vehicle with false or secret compartment.
This incident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
