Columbus businesses showing support for law enforcement officers

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Multiple businesses in Columbus, GA are showing their support for local law enforcement officers.

Below are the businesses and locations participating:
Steamy's - 1204 1st Ave.
- Offering free meals to all officers.
Crossfit Sacrifice - 4491 River Road
- Free Crossfit membership for the month of August 2016 for officers
Bojangles - Airport Thruway, Schomburg Road, Victory Drive
- For the next four weeks, Bojangles will offer all police officers free meals while on duty
Bruster's - Macon Road, Schomburg Road, Whittlesey
- On Friday, July 22, officers will receive a free Ice Cream Waffle Cone
Wingstop - 2528 Weems Road
- On Friday, July 22, officers will receive a free 6-piece combo meal or a free 3-piece chicken strip meal
Country's BBQ
- Provided sweet tea and lemonade to all officers and civilians
Publix - 1639 Bradley Park Drive
- Provided a cake for all officers
Back Columbus Blue
- Sponsoring a Christmas luncheon for all officers and civilians at the department
Mayer Electric Supply - 1125 14th Street
- Donated teddy bears that will be given to children in the community from the officers
Papa John's Pizza - 280 Bypass in Phenix City
- Donated 65 pizzas for officers
Chattahoochee Valley Backing the Blue
- Donated many cases of water, Gatorade, and snacks for officers
Ruth Ann's Restaurant - 941 Veterans Parkway
- Offering half price meals and free coffee for officers
Del Taco - 1500 Manchester Expressway
- Until further notice, all uniformed officers eat free
Cascade Hills Church - 727 54th Street
- On Thursday, July 28 there will be a free car wash for any marked or unmarked police vehicle. Snacks and drinks will also be provided
Dr. David Peed, optometrist - 6501 Veterans Parkway
- Free eye exams for police officers
Various citizens have also provided baked goods to the police department.
