LaGrange PD searching for rec center shooting suspect

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) - On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 4:13 p.m., Officers of the LaGrange Police Department responded to a person shot at the Griggs Recreation Center, located at 716 Glenn Robertson Street.

Upon arrival Officers made contact with the 17-year-old victim, who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a hospital for emergency treatment.

The LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section began an investigation and found that the victim was shot by Justin Marquez Dallas, 18.

After confirming the identity of the gunman, warrants were obtained for Dallas' arrest for the offenses of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Officers attempted to serve the warrants on Dallas but were unable to locate him.
