Columbus animal shelters help 101 pets get adopted over Thanksgiving weekend

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - More than a hundred pets have "forever homes" this holiday season thanks to some generous local organizations and wonderful families.
Animal Ark Rescue in Columbus shared this video of the dozens of furry friends who were adopted this past weekend.
The special free adoptions were sponsored by Zappos and Best Friends Animal Society.
From Black Friday to Cyber Monday, Animal Ark Rescue was able to place 101 homeless pets with families.
They and several other shelters like PAWS Humane participated in the free adoptions.
