Boys and Girls Club's new program helps teens prepare for future
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Chattahoochee Valley Boys and Girls Club unveiled a new initiative Tuesday.
The group's "Mission First Program" seeks to help teens prepare for the future.
Local volunteers were at Tuesday's job fair event at the Columbus Public Library to talk to around 50 kids about their future after high school.
"I'm very excited for the kids and I'm excited for the volunteers as well because it's a great opportunity for them to get involved in the community," says Scott Peckham, Mission First Program Director.
The job fair featured business owners, law enforcement, military and community college professors among others.
