LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) – It's been several weeks since Lee County Sheriff's Deputies have picked up shaving cream and a razor.
The bearded men had such a good time raising nearly $4,000 for the No Shave November national initiative for cancer research.
They decided to extend their whiskers a bit more to raise $1,000 locally for Toys for Tots.
"It has been a successful campaign...no surprise, these guys are dedicated to serving their community and helping others so it just shows you what kind of people we have here," said Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones.
Each deputy donated money themselves and solicited donations during No Shave November and will do it again all month long.
