COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Cottonmouths are known for their impact on the ice, but they also made an impact at a local hospital on Tuesday.
The team spread some holiday cheer at Midtown Medical Center to give gifts to kids who may spend the holidays in the hospital.
Each year the Cottonmouths visit with these children in the hopes of bringing a smile to their faces during what may be a difficult time.
"It just means a lot seeing the smiles on kids' faces," said forward Craig Simchuk. "Words can't describe knowing that they are happy, anything that helps."
This is an annual tradition the Cottonmouths have participated in for several years.
