(WTVM) – An Opelika man appeared in court Wednesday in connection with the murder of an Auburn woman.
Derrick Oliver, 26, turned himself in to police on Jan. 26, 2017 after allegedly shooting and killing 24-year-old Minnie Lee, who police say he was dating at the time.
During court, Oliver was ordered not to have contact with the alleged victim's family or children.
He is out on bond but is now wearing an ankle monitor.
The next grand jury cases will be presented around March/April. The court date has not been released.
