FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) – Best Ranger Competition kicks off on Fort Benning in the next few weeks.

Tuesday, we caught up with a team at the Warrior Training Center on post getting ready.

For three days, teams will be completing back to back courses that test their physical condition, ranger skills, and teamwork with little to no time to eat or rest.

Captain Michael Rose and Master Sergeant Joshua Horsager say they have spent months preparing and want to win for the 75th Ranger Regiment.

"Preparation is everything when it comes to competition. Putting in the work months leading into it. It conditions your mind and body," said Captain Michael Rose.

"I just really want to get back in and win the trophy for the regiment. It's been awhile since we have had a win from the Ranger Regiment and I would like to put us back on top," said Master Sergeant Horsager.

The last team to win Best Ranger from the 75th Ranger Regiment was in 2008.

The competition starts on April 7th and wraps up on April 9th.
