ATLANTA (WTVM) – Georgia lawmakers approved a $49 billion budget Wednesday and Columbus State University will be positively impacted.
The Georgia State House approving a fiscal budget which includes a $2.5 million construction project on the campus of Columbus State University.
The 2018 state spending plan includes $2 million for equipment for the new lab sciences addition at LeNoir Hall.
The construction for LeNoir Hall already has been approved, and the university will break ground on the addition in a couple of months.
The budget plan will now go to Governor Nathan Deal, who has broad authority to veto individual items.
