Columbus fine arts school now accepting applications

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Also coming out of the Muscogee County School District's board meeting Monday night, an update to the conversation around a Columbus fine arts school that is under construction.
A spokesperson for the Muscogee County School District says acceptance letters are going out to those who applied to the school as well rejections to those that were not accepted.
Applications for the principal position are still being reviewed.
Regarding the naming of the building, licensing for the name "Rainey-McCullers" has yet to be approved.
The district is preparing to enroll 500 students in grades 6-10 for the 2017-2018 school year.
