Area agencies host drive-thru rabies clinic at Columbus Civic Center

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus Animal Care & Control, Columbus Health Department and local Veterinarian Dr. Hank Hall hosted a drive-thru rabies clinic Tuesday at the Columbus Civic Center.
From 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, pet owners could get the cats and dogs vaccinated against rabies quickly and conveniently from the comfort of their own car.
"It's a great price and a great service so we are glad people can come out," said Pam Kirkland with the Columbus Health Department
The cost of the vaccination as $5 per animal. Pet owners also had to pay a $10 fee if you lived in Muscogee County and didn't already have a permit for your animal.
