COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - It's been a busy week for area prep athletes, with twenty signing college scholarships in their sports from Wednesday through Friday.

The largest contingent came from Hardaway, with seven Hawks accepting scholarships in different sports. Ja'Kobe Ellerbee signed with Mesabi Range College in Minnesota to play football, Jimea Dunn with Wesleyan College volleyball, and Zoe Villermin with Limestone College soccer.

Four joined Columbus State's championship-winning cheerleading program: Kashigo Meade, Daijah Callier, Austin Williams, and Christian Sellars.

Thursday brought signings from four different high schools. Three baseball players are moving up, Glenwood's Carson Allison to West Florida and Jordan teammates Eric Newman and Austin Sanders to Point University.

Shaw had two basketball players ink scholarships. Devan Porter-Wilson is heading to Atlanta Metro while Patrick Mahone signed with Coastal Alabama.

From Spencer, soccer players Malik Albritton and Damonte Waits signed with Brewton-Parker, wrestler Elijah McNickels with Life University, and Ladaisha Williams will run track and cross country at Brenau.

Friday saw four Kendrick Cherokees moving to the next level. Jemarious Holloway signed a track scholarship with Union (KY), Curdrea Veasley signed with the women's basketball program at Andrew College, and Sincere Sellers and JQuan Langley will head to California to play football at Allan Hancock Junior College.
