All 5 Barbour County Jail escaped inmates captured

BARBOUR COUNTY, AL (WTVM) – Two escaped inmates are now back in custody, according to Eufaula Mayor Jack Tibbs.

One of the inmates, Jasper Turner, turned himself into police. A traffic stop was conducted and Tywon Jackson was arrested.

A total of five inmates including Jasper Kenta Turner and Tywon Jackson, Clarence White, Jabori Henderson, and Stephon Galloway escaped the Barbour County Jail on Saturday night, and now they are all back at the jail.

The two inmates, Turner and Jackson, were taken into custody Monday afternoon.  .

Investigators say the inmates had someone from the outside bring them a hammer to bust out the walls inside the jail and then cut the fence to get out of the jail.

Deputies say the five inmates are being held at four different facilities across the state to make sure they don't conspire to escape again.
