Nearly $16K worth of meth, handgun seized during traffic stop in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus man was arrested after he was found with several grams of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a pistol during a traffic stop.
An officer pulled over a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by 34-year-old Clint Walker in a parking lot in the 3400 block of Veterans Parkway Tuesday.
During the traffic stop police say they found 158.7 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $15,870, .5 grams of heroin with a street value of $50, .5 grams of cocaine with a street value of $50, 3.4 grams of marijuana with a street value $34, two Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine pills with a street value of $50, a 9MM Star BM pistol, $2,033 in cash, two pipes used for meth, a digital scale, and several plastic baggies.
Walker is charged with the following offenses:

- style="line-height: normal;">Possession of heroin
- style="line-height: normal;">Possession of cocaine
- style="line-height: normal;">Possession of amphetamine
- style="line-height: normal;">Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- style="line-height: normal;">Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
- style="line-height: normal;">Possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of housing project
- style="line-height: normal;">Possession of drug-related objects
- style="line-height: normal;">Driving while license suspended or revoked
- style="line-height: normal;">Failure to wear a seat belt
- style="line-height: normal;">No tag light
- style="line-height: normal;">Switching registration plates
Walker remains in the Muscogee County Jail. His case has been bound over to superior court.
