Police beef up patrol on New Year's Day
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – If you are still looking to celebrate the new year today, remember law enforcement officers are out to protect the roads.
Law enforcement agencies across the country have increased patrols throughout this travel period.
The Georgia Department of Public Safety warns there is a zero-tolerance policy for drunk drivers, and say you will go to jail if caught drinking and driving.
The new year holiday enforcement will continue until tomorrow morning at 6 a.m.
