PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The Phenix City Council concluded its election for District 2 Wednesday.
The city council voted to approve the Dec. 27 special election.
Results of the election were not discussed, but Vickey Carter Johnson won against Baxley Oswalt in runoff surrounded by allegations of voter fraud.
Carter Johnson received more than 60 percent of the votes.
