COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - AMC's Classic Peachtree 8 theater will no longer sell tickets to minors after a certain time.
The theater will no longer allow anyone under the age of 18 to purchase tickets after 7 p.m.
This new policy went into effect Saturday and will be upheld.
A temporary signage is now up and an official sign will be installed in the coming days.
An AMC rep says this was the policy before when the theater was owned by Carmike Cinemas. When AMC took over the theater chain, the rule went away.
Following recent issues in the area, AMC has decided the best solution is to bring the old rule back.
AMC's Columbus Park 15 theater will not be implementing the rule at their theater location.
