AHSAA lifts suspension of Russell County High basketball games
RUSSELL COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - A temporary suspension of Russell County High School basketball games has been lifted.
Games between Russell County and Valley High School scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23 were canceled following a dispute at the end of a junior varsity boys game that created a hazardous environment.
The conflict was resolved and all guests were directed safely out of the building.
The games were canceled for the night.
AHSAA Associate Executive Director, Tony Stallworth, advised Russell County High's Principal Shelia Baker that the temporary suspension has been lifted from the school after an investigation was completed.
The Russell County High team is eligible to play and will host Dothan High Friday, Jan. 26.
