COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – People in the Fountain City got the chance to give feedback on various issues to Georgia Representatives.
Members of the Georgia Delegation Session came to Columbus to speak with people who live in the area about ways to improve the community.
Common topics included public transportation, funding for education, and how the city's budget is being used.
News Leader 9 spoke with Representative Calvin Smyre, who represents Columbus, and says he has changes that he hopes will be implemented soon.
"We're in day 15 now and things will start to crank up. We'll be passing both the amended and full budget and we'll be on major issues coming up during the legislative session," said Calvin Smyre of the Georgia House of Representatives.
