Opelika man charged with burglary, theft of property

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) - An Opelika man was arrested Sunday on multiple warrants.
Auburn police arrested Phillip Robinson, 51, on the following warrants:
- Second-degree burglary – two counts
- Third-degree burglary- one count
- Second-degree theft of property
- Third-degree theft of property
- Fourth-degree theft of property – two counts
The arrest stems from burglary investigations reported on Feb. 2 and Feb. 4 at apartment complexes in the 600 block of Shug Jordan Parkway and the 800 block of West Longleaf Drive.
Officers responded to reports of a suspicious male carrying away property from an apartment Friday at around 3 p.m. The property was recovered and an investigation resulted in Robinson being determined a suspect.
On Sunday around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to an individual matching Robinson's description breaking into apartments that were occupied. An investigation into this case also resulted in Robinson being determined a suspect.
Approximately $4200 in property consisting of jewelry, electronics, clothing, and money were reportedly taken in the combined burglaries.
Robinson is being held in the Lee County Jail on at $30,000 bond.
