GA Secretary of State candidate meets with voters in Columbus
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A candidate campaigning to be the next Georgia Secretary of State visited Columbus Monday.
Former Congressman John Barrow spoke and met with voters at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbus. Mayor Teresa Tomlinson introduced Barrow and several other elected officials.
Barrow shared his vision for a fair and ethical Georgia that welcomes new residents, national events, and cutting-edge businesses.
He says he truly loves Georgia and wants to create a positive change in the community not only for Democrats but for everyone in the state.
"One good thing out of this is how engaged people are in the political process who never felt the need to get engaged in it before. That's just a huge change. And I know it's going to be a change for the better in our politics," says Barrow.
Other members running for office and some who are already in office were in attendance to support Barrow.
